There's a reason why barn wedding venues are so popular and it's because you really can't beat the rustic-country vibe that they give off. Sure, you can wed in a castle or vineyard, but there's something that's so cozy and down-home about barn wedding venues and no barn fits that bill better than the Hideaway on Angel located in Layton Utah just East of the Great Salt Lake.
The Hideaway on Angel features an extra large bridal room which is always a plus for any photographer. It was super easy to get the shots we needed without feeling cramped or crowded. The room also featured a lovely vanity and elegant furniture which became a perfect photo-op for the bride just before her big walk down the aisle.
The venue also features a very, and I mean VERY, large and semi-private outdoor setting giving you the option of having your wedding either indoors our outdoors. Luckily for us, it was an unseasonably warm winter day so we were able to gather family and friends outside for some photos just as the sun was setting to the west over the Great Salt Lake.
It was such an honor for us to shoot this wedding for Angel and Rachelle. Their wedding was not only beautiful but it was cozy, comfortable, and laid-back. But beyond all of that, the core of this wedding was centered on music and dancing. After the guests helped themselves to dinner provided by a local taco truck, it was time to kick off the party by leading the couple into their first dance. The bride and groom danced through the first song all by themselves in the center of the dance floor. Next, each of them dances with their parents and from there, family and friends danced through the night and made unforgettable memories until it was time for the traditional wedding send-off.
