Is it Possible to Have a Happy Wedding During the COVID-19 Pandemic?

The short answer is... YES!

During the height of the pandemic, couples were faced with a very difficult decision. Should we go ahead with our wedding as planned? Sadly, most couples were left without a choice as wedding venues and vendors were closing down shop all across the country, forcing couples to completely forgo their plans and start from scratch.

This cute couple's wedding is the epitome of a "COVID-Wedding" which took place in early May 2020 shortly after the pandemic hit and during a time when every household was placed on lock-down.

This couple's wedding venue closed down during the pandemic so they instead opted to have their wedding take place at the International Peace Gardens in Salt Lake City, the same place we did their engagements in December of 2019.

The International Peace Gardens is a beautiful public park located just outside of downtown Salt Lake City and I believe it to be a highly underrated wedding venue (future blog-post on that to come).

The one thing I will never forget about this wedding was that being there completely took my mind off of all the turmoil going on in the world and transported me to a place full of love, life and happiness. At times, it was hard to believe how crazy the world was outside of this beautiful wedding venue. It was like we were all in our own little bubble, safe and free from the sorrow brought on by the pandemic.

This couple made the best of what they had at the time. The guest list was short (limited to 10 people) and everyone was social distancing and wearing masks.

Family that cold not attend the wedding in person, instead opted to watch the wedding live on Zoom.

And although it might not have been the wedding they dreamed of, they still got married on a beautiful day, in a dreamy setting, surrounded by their closest family friends.

And what matters most is, if they can get through the pandemic together, they can get through anything that comes their way.
